This adventurous trekking connects the Annapurna and Mustang regions, including some culturally famous pilgrimage destinations.
Trekking through the Annapurna circuit trail begins from the lower Annapurna region. The Marshyangdi River valley and the mixed communities are the base of the trek. Cascading waterfalls, sub-tropical forests and streams increase the charm of the trek. Once the walk leads you through the Manang region, the Tibetan Buddhist settlements begin to appear.
The real adventure begins once you reach Phedi via cattle grazing meadows. Crossing the Thorong La Pass is a real form of adventure with a slippery rocky slope. The high pass offers panoramas of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna II, Mt. Annapurna III, Mt. Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Himchuli, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche peak, and Tilicho peak.
The trek then leads you to the famous Muktinath temple, a pilgrimage destination of the Hindu and Buddhist devotees. The trek goes through the Kaligandaki gorge and ends in Nayapul via Ghorepani Poon Hill.

Trip Itinerary
Upon your landing at the international airport in Kathmandu, the Adventure High Pass representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the time is for you to prepare for the trek and buy the essential gear around the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
Early in the morning (about 5 or 6 AM), you'll leave Kathmandu and travel to Dharapani. You will travel along the Prithvi Highway to Dumre, where you will turn in the direction of the Marsyangdi Valley. As the drive continues, you pass through picturesque landscapes, little towns, and rivers.
The drive time can change depending on the traffic amount and the road condition. In the late afternoon, when you arrive at Dharapani, you can check into your hotel.
After an early breakfast in Dharapani, you'll start your day's hike toward Chame. The trail travels through lovely pine and oak forests, little towns, and a few suspension bridges that span the Marsyangdi River. You will eventually arrive in the Bagarchhap village.
You'll then carry on your ascent in the direction of Chame. The Manaslu Range is visible from Tamang village, which is reached by a steep trail. The trail climbs sharply toward Chame after reaching the bridge over the Marsyangdi River. It will be late afternoon when you get to Chame. The remainder of the day can be spent touring the town and its surroundings.
From Chame, the trek leads us through the forest after passing some bridges. Through the gentle up and down the trail, it leads to Pisang village, offering pleasant Himalayan beauties and a unique countryside with the Tibetan Buddhist cultural scenario. Overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, the trek leads towards the core Tibetan Buddhist area of the Manang district. On the way, the beautiful monasteries and chhortens offer marvelous scenery around Braga Manang and Ghyaru. Manang is a densely populated town that still follows ancient lifestyles. Overnight at lodge.
To avoid altitude sickness while climbing in the Annapurna region, spend a day acclimatizing in Manang. You can hike to Milarepa Cave on this day. The cave bears Milarepa's name, a well-known Tibetan poet and saint thought to have meditated there while on his spiritual journey.
The 4-5 hour journey to Milarepa Cave passes through picturesque scenery, old-world communities, and high-altitude grazing meadows. Although the trek is difficult and steep, the breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna Range and the surrounding valleys are worth it.
You can explore the Milarepa Cave and take in the serene, spiritual ambiance as you arrive at it. A tiny shrine and a space for meditation and reflection are located in the cave.
After spending some time at the cave, you can hike back to Manang and continue exploring the area for the remainder of the day. In order to get ready for the forthcoming climb to higher altitudes, it's crucial to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest.
From Manang, head uphill steadily after breakfast. The alpine meadows and the grassy landscape are magnificent and connected with the Himalayan views on the horizon. Passing the Jarshang Khola valley, head further to Yak Kharka, a part of the grazing meadow. Overnight at lodge.
The journey embarks on from Yak Kharka after breakfast, heading through the thin air region that calls for a slow walk with enough stops throughout the trail. However, walking till Thorong Phedi is a short walk, which we reach during lunchtime, passing Ledar. You will have enough time to walk around and adore the stunning Annapurna. Overnight at lodge.
This is a challenging but far more exhilarating day to enroll over the Thorong La top. The early ascending from Throng Phedi through the steep uphill route guides to the top. Walking through the rocky slope is challenging, and on the other hand, the thin air region puts pressure on you. Once you reach the top, the mind-blowing scenery doesn’t let you remember the challenging journey. The views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu peaks are dramatic. The descending route still is another challenge. It leads all the way to Muktinath temple and rest. Overnight at lodge.
The morning of this day will be spent touring the holy Muktinath Temple, a popular Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage site. You'll take a lovely journey to Jomsom after visiting the temple. As the district headquarters for the Mustang, Jomsom is renowned for its apple orchards, traditional architecture, and the picturesque Kali Gandaki River. During this day, you can tour the town and its surroundings.
You'll travel to Pokhara on this day's early-morning flight from Jomsom, which provides breathtaking aerial views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After you arrive in Pokhara, you'll check into your accommodation and get ready.
You can go sightseeing in Pokhara in the afternoon, including the well-known Phewa Lake, Mahendra Cave, Davis Falls, and the World Peace Pagoda. You can indulge in little souvenir shopping and enjoy local food in the evening.
You'll either drive or fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu on this day. The trip takes about 6-7 hours, and the route travels via picturesque scenery, old-world villages, and the Trishuli River. The 25-minute flight provides breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan mountains. After you get to Kathmandu, you can either relax in your hotel or spend the remainder of the day visiting the city.
This day will be spent taking a city tour of Kathmandu, which will take you to places like Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, which are all listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You may explore Nepal's rich cultural and religious history and take in its breathtaking buildings and artwork.
In the afternoon, you can do your last-minute shopping in Thamel, a very well tourist destination famous for its handicrafts, trekking equipment, and souvenirs.
After a busy itinerary of the excursion in the Annapurna Himalayas, it’s time to bid farewell and wish you a safe flight to your further destination. Our representative will drop you at the airport.
