Trip Itinerary
At Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), a representative will greet you and take you to your lodging. After your lengthy, stressful flight, you will take a rest. The welcome dinner will be served in the evening and will include traditional Nepali cuisine.
Today, you will see the amazing city of Kathmandu, visit ancient sites, and sample some of the regional cuisines.
You'll travel through Kathmandu's crowded streets before stopping at the Buddhist shrine of Boudha Stupa. It has a dome-shaped design and is adorned with prayer flags and wheels. After that, we'll travel to the Kathmandu Valley's historic durbar squares.
If it's possible, we'll transport you to all three durbar squares where you can explore royal palaces and learn about early Nepali tradition and architecture. You'll find waves of sculptures, intricately carved stone temples, and stone representations of gods and goddesses. Then you will visit Pashupatinath Temple which is a renowned and sacred place for Hindus.
Your journey from Kathmandu is not particularly enjoyable, but after you cross the Trishuli River, the scenery transforms into something truly magnificent. The scenic views of roaring streams and rich green trees that line the winding, mountainous roads make the journey fascinating.
You will travel past the Marsyangdi River and isolated Nepali villages after traveling for some time. With the enlargement of the pavement, you'll reach Chame instead of Besisahar. The first night of the journey will be spent in a lodge in Chame.
You will hike today to Pisang, a little settlement located by the Marshyangdi River. You will leave the old monastery and enter the route via Kani. Beautiful coniferous forests and little towns will be passed by as you travel.
You'll reach Dukhure Pokhari after passing beneath the cliff's sheer face and numerous suspension bridges over the Marshyangdi river. The trail unfolds stunning vistas of Annapurna II as you continue to travel along it. Then you will reach Pisang. You'll spend the night either in a tea house or a camp.
With fewer ascents and dusty roads that pass by strategically placed rock barriers, it is a little easier than the prior walk. With gorgeous mountain views, towering hills, and a monastery nearby, hiking the trek is much more enjoyable.
The lovely community of Humde sits east of Manang and is better known for its airport. The distance between the town of Manang and the airfield is around 2.5 kilometers. You can also turn 266 prayer wheels with a right hand that rolls out of the village's center and tours the longest mani walls in the area. The entire village of Humde is crammed with amazing locations and breathtaking views of mountains and other natural features.
You will eat breakfast and get ready for the hike after waking up to Chulu's refreshing wind. Today's hike is a little easier with a few steep climbs and short excursions through the deep forest. You can wander through the woods filled with juniper and pine trees to lift your spirits.
You'll take a short break in Humde village before continuing your trip along the route that leads to Julu Khola.
You need to acclimate yourself when you are traveling to a higher altitude. So on this day, you will just take a rest and dwell around the place. This helps you get familiar with the environment and altitude.
You will go on a few short walks and look around some of the neighboring settlements. Wonderful mountain views, expansive vistas, and wildlife may all be seen on the hike. Later in the evening, you will prepare for the next day as it is going to be a long day
After breakfast, you will continue your journey to the East Base camp. You will take the road that leads uphill as you leave the settlement to reach Chulu Far East Base Camp.
It gets rather difficult to travel because the trail slid through rocky landforms. So, to avoid being fatigued, you'll slow down and walk gradually. To go to Chulu Far East Base Camp, you will need to continue scrambling the trail for almost 6 hours. You'll set up camp so you can stay the night.
The hike from Chulu East Base Camp is very challenging and exhausting due to the glacial terrains and undulating paths. A body that is forced to walk too far at once may experience pain and breathing problems. So you will relax the following day to give the body time to adjust to the lower oxygen levels in the air.
Instead of just sitting around doing nothing, you'll wander around the base camp and discover remote areas. You can hike in a lot of locations with steep ascents and spectacular mountain ridge views. Then you will return to the camp when the sun sets and relax there.
You will arrive at the upper area and see a shift in the landscape after gathering and organizing your gear. Because of how steep this hike is, extreme caution is suggested. The path continues, passing across snow-covered slopes that must be climbed using crampons. Even if the uphill route is tough and takes a long time, it is worthwhile.
We get to see Pisang Peak, the Annapurna range, and Chulu West while on the walk. You'll pitch up camp in a location that will make tomorrow's ascent simple for you. As the sun gently sets beyond the beautiful Himalayan mountains, the sunset will be one of the most captivating ones of the voyage.
Today is the summit day, so you set out as early as you can while the sky is still bright with stars. You'll be moving along paths that lead to a ridge covered in snow. On the grounds below, you will have a broad view of the Himalayas, including the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri (8167m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and the Manang valley.
You will steadily follow the track that passes past glaciers and moraines while carrying the backpack filled with your gear. You'll overcome the incredibly difficult portion and advance toward Chulu East Peak Climbing with the help of the trek leader. The difficult path you have taken to get here will be tremendously rewarding. After reaching the summit successfully, you will have some time to stop and snap some lovely pictures before returning to base camp.
To ensure that you have a backup day for the climb if you cannot complete it on the summit day owing to any unforeseen circumstances, this day is reserved. Weather in the Himalayan region is sometimes unpredictable and becomes very dangerous to ascend.
Similarly, some of your teammates may suffer from AMS which is Acute Mountain Sickness and bring about a delay in your peak climbing. So this day acts as a reserve day under those conditions. After the climb, you will relocate to base camp.
You will immediately set off for Manang from the base camp. The topography and plants gradually alter as you descend. The gorgeous monasteries with profound vestiges of Buddhism as well as the desolate landscapes start to emerge. The Annapurna range, Gangapurna, and Tilicho can all be seen well from here
Today, you will travel down the hill on a winding path that passes through landslide-prone terrain. So you should take the trail cautiously and pay attention to every step. Along the way to Tilicho Lake, you'll also pass across ice lakes and glaciers.
While it's entertaining to see, walking the trail is quite challenging and annoying. You will have a good chance of seeing wild creatures and birds as you travel into the wilderness area. Eventually, after a good six-hour hike, you will arrive at Tilicho Base Camp.
From the base camp, there is a difficult approach to the lake. With views of the mountains like Nilgiri (7061m), Annapurna (8091m), and Dhaulagiri (8167m), you'll be trekking over moraines. There is a strong breeze at Tilicho Lake in the evening. So you will therefore finish the trail as quickly as you can to avoid the cold.
When you get there, you can take in the peculiar lake and the surrounding scenery. The beauty of the lake is not harmed by seasonal fluctuations. High mountains encircle it, continuously supplying the lake with fresh water. You might just be able to see the mountains reflected in the lake. It's also recognized that the lake is the highest in the globe.
You will be heading straight for the trail after having a great time at Tilicho Lake. You'll descend the snow-covered, winding path before descending to the 5120-meter Mesokanta La pass. Pay attention while traveling the route because there is a lot of technical climbing on the pass walk.
The ruins are 400 meters above Khangsar hamlet, so you will continue on the trek from there. After that, you'll direct a path that isn't designated and cross the Thorung Khola river on a wooden bridge. You'll receive some warm tea when you get to Yak Kharka and spend the rest of the time seeing settlements.
After breakfast, you will hastily make your way to the trail. You will move northward along the trail from Yak Kharka to Marpha. This village's apple Orchard is well-known for its breathtaking beauty. You will continue on a simple trail in the direction of Jomsom, the administrative center for the Manang District.
The number of historical museums, ancient monasteries, and manuscripts is remarkable. Visitors are surrounded by gleaming white mountains and softer reddish-orange surroundings. We've reserved a place in a lodge at Jomsom to spend the chilly night there.
Because of the severe winds during the day, your flight will take place early in the morning. This is the main cause of the likelihood of flight cancellations and delays. Despite the short trip, you will have plenty of time to explore Pokhara and enjoy some delicious food at one of the many restaurants there.
After landing on Pokhara, you can embark on a lakeside trip, stop by Barahi Temple, and see a few other exciting locations. You will remain at Fewa Lake till late in the evening because it is the ideal location to view the sunset and Mt. Machhapuchhre. Before dinner, you'll return to the hotel where you can get some rest.
You will be on the road for five to six hours, passing through quaint towns and green hills. Even though the road along the Trishuli River's banks is a little off-route, it's enjoyable and has beautiful scenery.
It passes through several old villages and gushing streams before entering the town. From here, you will drive straight to the hotel so you can relax after that long drive. In the evening, you can go on a walk in the busy streets of Thamel or shop around the corner and get a souvenir.
It's your last day in Kathmandu, and our representatives will drop you off at the airport when your flight is scheduled. If necessary, they will assist you with the security process and even wait until the plane takes off.
