Transportation during Best of Nepal Tour

Travel within Nepal can be done by public buses, tourist coaches, private jeeps, or domestic flights. For this package, we prioritize comfort and efficiency with private vehicles and flights:

  • Kathmandu to Chitwan (1,400m → 150m): A short domestic flight is the quickest option and avoids long road journeys.
  • Chitwan to Pokhara (150m → 822m): While a short flight is possible, delays are common, so we recommend the 3–4 hour scenic drive in a private jeep. The highway is much improved, making the road journey smooth and enjoyable, passing through rivers, farmland, and rolling hills.
  • Pokhara to Kathmandu (822m → 1,400m): A short 25-minute flight saves you a long road drive and gives more time to enjoy Pokhara’s lakes and mountains.
  • Local Sightseeing: Within each city, private cars or jeeps are used for day tours and transfers.

All airport pickups and drop-offs are included in the package, so you’ll be fully taken care of from arrival to departure.

Best Season to Travel

The Best of Nepal Tour can be done year-round, but autumn (September–November) and spring (March–May) are ideal. These months offer clear skies and stunning views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), and Machapuchare (6,993m). Winter (December–February) is also pleasant, though mornings and evenings can be chilly in higher points like Nagarkot and Sarangkot. Monsoon (June–August) brings lush greenery, but rainfall may obscure mountain views.
