Detailed Itinerary
When you land in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International airport, you will be welcomed by an Adventure High pass representative. First, we complete your Visa and other custom formalities. Then you will be transferred to the hotel organized by Great Vision along with your luggage. And thus, you can check in and rest or visit our office and hang around as per your interest. You stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Today, we tour heritage sites in Kathmandu. We start a guided tour from your hotel to four heritage sites in Kathmandu listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, we visit Pashupatinath Temple situated on Bagmati River banks where Aryaghat, a famous funeral site for Hindus, lies. After sightseeing, we visit Boudhanath, the Buddhist shrine, one of the world's largest stupa. Boudhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages, including over 50 Tibetan Gompas or monasteries, and is a popular tourist destination. Soon enough, the tour leads to Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as Basantapur. The place holds the medieval king's palaces who once ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom. Our last tour will be Swayambhu (the self-existent). It is one of the famous touristic areas where we find a large monkey population. After sightseeing, we'll go back to the hotel, and you can have a rest. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
We take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara with scenic mountain view. The flight is about 30 minutes. You can view outstanding views of snowy peaks during the flight.
After breakfast in Pokhara, we begin our journey with a scenic drive to Nayapul (1,070m), which takes about 2 hours. From Nayapul, we continue by jeep or private vehicle along a rough road up to Tikhedhunga (1,540m), the starting point of our hike. From here, the trail turns steep and challenging as we climb a long series of stone steps up to the Magar village of Ulleri (2,050m). With rewarding views of the Annapurna range and surrounding valleys, we continue trekking further uphill to reach Banthati, a peaceful village nestled in the forest. We spend the night at a teahouse in Banthati, surrounded by nature and the fresh mountain air.
Today’s journey leads us through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests as we trek gradually uphill from Banthati to Ghorepani. Along the way, we pass through Nangethanti, a popular resting point with teahouses nestled in the forest. The trail continues to ascend steadily, and with every step, the air gets cooler and the scenery more alpine. After about 4–5 hours of trekking, we reach the vibrant village of Ghorepani, located just below the famous Poon Hill viewpoint. From here, stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges start to unfold. Overnight stay at a lodge in Ghorepani.
We wake up early this day to witness the first sun ray striking the mountains. We climb uphill to Poon Hill (3193m), where the stunning sunrise over the mountains becomes visible. Hereafter, we rest in Ghorepani. After the short break, our trail resumes, and we head to the east, where we pass across Deurali pass and Ban Thanti. We walk through the rhododendron forest that leads to Thulo Odar. Then we make a steep descent with a short climb. Ultimately, we reach Tadapani where we spent a night in the lodge.
From Tadapani, we head towards Ghandruk village. The culture and great hospitality of people in the village is something to cherish.
Today, we trek down 5 min to take a jeep from Ghandruk to Pokhara. The bumpy road follows the old trekking route to nayapul and continue to pokhara in main Highway.
In the morning, we have our breakfast in the hotel and fly back to Kathmandu with stunning moutain view. After arriving in Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel where you can relax and stay overnight.
Today is your last day in Kathmandu, so you can enjoy your meal before your flight. Our representative with a driver will take you to the airport for departure.
