Kanchanjunga Trekking - 28 Days

After breakfast, we tour the delighting UNESCO-listed world heritage sites dating back to the medieval period. The major highlights of a day sightseeing tour are the Hindu temple Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhuanth Stupa. Managing another day, you can cover other destinations. Then back to the hotel and rest. Overnight at lodge.

Transfer to the airport from the hotel and fly to Biratnagar. Explore around and wait for a wonderful day tomorrow. Overnight at the hotel.

Fly from Biratnagar to Suketar airport, located in Taplejung. Meet the team there and introduce each other. Preparing the logistics for the trek, proceed towards the destination today, known as Lalikharka and take a rest. Overnight at camp.

Begin the journey after breakfast from Lalikharka through the beautiful countryside scenery, descending to the Pakora village, cross the Phawa Khola (stream) and take a steep climb towards the Kunjiri village. Find a perfect camping site at Khesawa and rest. Overnight at camp.

As we commence today's excursion, we head through the steep hillside territory and the picturesque landscape above the Kabbeli Khola. Then we head towards the beautiful village called Anpan. We trek down to the Khesawa Khola, cross it and climb up to the Mamankhe. Overnight at camp.

After breakfast, we begin the trek with a slow uphill climb through the terraced hillside at the stream's edge. After a short walk, we cross the ridges and get the splendid valley view. We walk following the riverside for about 2 hours and reach Yamphudin, populated by the ethnic group of Nepal, in a secluded landscape. Overnight at camp.

Following the steep trail, we begin our trek today. As we enter the heavily isolated Himalayan region, the trail becomes rough every hour. Then we trek down the steep route to the Omje Khola, cross the bridge and walk to Chitre. Overnight at camp.

Starting the trek, we walk up through the steep trail to the peak of the Deurali, dotted by the forest. From the top, we can explore the prominent Himalayan views closer. Again, we walk steeply, cross the stream over the wooden bridge, and head further to Tortong. Overnight at camp.

After having breakfast at Tortong, we begin to walk through the rhododendron dotted forest. Do not miss to enjoy the brilliant views of the Yalung glacier and walk gradually towards Tseram. The views of Kabru and Rathing peaks can be explored and saved on the snapshots. Overnight at camp.

We have a fantastic trek today, which is relatively exceptional. First, we hike through the challenging trail and rocky moraine. Oh yes, the delighting vistas of the Yalung Glacier continually follow us. Setting a camp at Ramche and adapting to the high altitude is a must-do task. Overnight at camp.

The delighting Himalayan views follow us throughout the day. The stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Jannu peak are excellent. We explore around Ramche and cross the Yalung RI Glacier and reach Oktang. The mountain vistas are enormously delightful. All the peaks of Mt. Kanchenjunga look brilliant. Overnight at camp.

A steady walk from Oktang leads us to the Yalung Ri Base Camp, located at 5400 meters. Maintaining physical fitness and adapting to high altitudes is a must. The glacial range and the outstanding Himalayan panorama offer a splendid memory. Spend an overnight stay at this altitude. Overnight at camp.

From Yalung Ri Base Camp, we set out for the trek downhill towards Ramche and strolled around to enjoy the dramatic landscape. The delighting Himalayan scenery and the alpine landscape offer a great memory. Overnight at camp.

From Ramche, we trek down towards the valley after breakfast. Getting ready to deal with the challenge of the high passes, including the Mirgin La (4480 meters), explore the excellent Himalayan sceneries of the 8000 meter peaks of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Chamlang and others. Then, continue the trek to Sallere and take a rest. Overnight at camp.

We gradually trek downhill to the Lamba Sumba grazing meadow and explore the breathtaking Himalayan views of the excellent Kumbhakarna peak. Trekking down to the Ghunsa village, explore the Tibetan Buddhist lifestyle as it is loaded with magnificent Tibetan Buddhist heritage sites, monasteries, and picturesque settings of the flagged region. Take a rest at Ghunsa. Overnight at camp.

Having breakfast, we climb up from the Ghunsa stream as we cross the floodplain landscape in the northern direction of the River. Climb further through the steep route and trek to Kambachen via Lakepo, and take a rest. Overnight at camp.

To adapt to the increasing altitude and to ease the trip, it is better to take an extra day for acclimatization is the best idea. We set out for the hiking around that guides to the Jannu peak base camp and the Kumbhakarna peak base camp. Then retrace to Kambachen and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

Beginning the trek from Kambachen, follow the trail that leads to Ramtang. Then we cross the Kanchenjunga glacier and gradually hike to Lhonak. It is located beside the Lake on a plain route. Lhonak is a place where we stop today and take a rest over there. Overnight at lodge.

Having breakfast at Lhonak, we begin to trek through the trail dotted with the glacial moraine. Facing some technical trails, reaching Pangpema, get the magnificent Himalayan views. Pang Pema is a base camp of the Kanchenjunga peak. Walk around and explore while cherishing the memory of Himalayan treasure. Overnight at lodge.

First, we climb up towards the ridge from Pangpema that guides us to the Kanchenjunga base camp. You will get breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga peak and its surroundings. Explore around the base camp and trek down to Kambachen and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

We commence the trek with a descending trail, including the magnificent landscape. The clean and pure water at the Kanchenjunga base camp guides us to walk downhill and climb up. Then we trek towards Ghunsa and Yangswa. Overnight at lodge.

Walking from Ghunsa, we walk through the outstanding lush forest and experience the delighting experience that continues to Amjilosa. Overnight at lodge.

Having breakfast, we briefly climb and walk along the rocky trail. Continuing the trek, we reach Dova, a juncture of two Rivers- Ghunsa Khola and Tamur River. Then we continue our trek to Sakathum and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

After breakfast at Sakathum, walk along the splendid trail and cross the lush fields. The stream that we cross comes from our destination- Kanchenjunga base camp. Following the main line of the stream, we reach Chhiruwa and take a rest there. Overnight at lodge.

Enjoy the trek for the last day after a tiresome three weeks Himalayan journey exploring the circuit route of Kanchenjunga. Pass through the picturesque settlements and conclude the trek to Suketar, waiting for a beautiful flight tomorrow. Overnight at the hotel.
